Hear from Scholar Allison Perlman who will present her talk, “Contextualizing Media Controversies: Censorship, Bias, and Distortion in Historical Perspective,” discussing how to identify and unpack media narratives so we can skillfully navigate our own media consumption in the current media landscape. Educators will also be introduced to open-access classroom tested-lessons that support students as consumers, curators, and producers to foster civic engagement.
